For the eight consecutive year, Supply Chain Consultants, a Wilmington Delaware firm founded in 1993 by Drs. Bibi and Harpal Singh, has offered a full-tuition Masters of Engineering fellowship in honor of Professor William L. Maxwell. Prof. Maxwell retired from the School of Operations Research and Industrial Engineering (OR&IE) in 1998, and the fellowship was first announced at a dinner in his honor at that time.
The goal of the fellowship is to honor Prof. Maxwell by annually recognizing and supporting the candidate in the OR&IE Master of Engineering (M. Eng.) program who best demonstrates the following qualities:

Gail Murray-Seitz, a consultant at SCC, and Laurie Goodwin-Phillips, art teacher at Linden hill Elementary, have jointly developed a community arts project to display children's artwork at SC's offices thought the school year. The project has been a great success since 2001.
"We felt this was a great opportunity to show the kids that the local community cares about them," says Gail.
"We look forward to continuing this program and hopefully other local businesses will follow SCC's lead. Not only does the business benefit by displaying original children's' art in their lobby, but the students are recognized for their commitment and skills as young artists," says Laurie Goodwin-Phillips.
